Nutritional status disorders in women with lichen sclerosus of the vulva

Research objective: to determine the characteristics of nutritional status (NS) in women reproductive age with typical clinical signs lichen sclerosus vulva (LSV) using key NS parameters. Materials and methods. The study included 75 average 31.3 ± 1.3 years. 50 were diagnosed LSV disorders (main group), 25 practically healthy (control group). Information about all patients was collected through direct interviews, examination medical records. presence anogenital pruritus, soreness or burning, dryness, dyspareunia, urinary disturbances, perianal and/or intestinal symptoms, inflammatory bowel disease, thyroid dysfunction tenderness, other comorbidities recorded. evaluated anthropometric, laboratory studies. Body mass index, index risk (nutritional deficiency), vitamins, micro- macroelements value, scatological parameters determined patients, microflora examined.Results. results showed a disorder most by studied comparison control group. Thus, it found that 60% had abnormal body as well observed 72% patients. In addition, also higher deficiency vitamins D B12, some important macronutrients. coprological neutral fats feces, unchanged muscle fibers, extracellular intracellular starch, decreased levels bifidobacteria lactobacilli 68–74% opportunistic bacteria fungi 30–46% main group.Conclusions. this indicate association between LSV. However, further research is needed assess course underlying disease analyze metabolic pathways lead lipid, carbohydrate protein metabolism target select correct nutrients alternative treatments.
